self-defenseHickory – Trifecta Martial Arts and Fitness is coming to Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on Saturday, June 18th at 1:00 p.m. to offer a Women’s Self-Defense Class.  Head Instructor Keith Baldwin and Instructor Michelle Hansley will lead this class designed to help women become aware of methods for defending themselves in real life situations.  This program is being offered to complement the theme of Hickory Public Library’s 2016 Summer Reading Program for Adults, “Exercise Your Mind.”

Trifecta Martial Arts and Fitness is a mixed martial arts studio based in Catawba County.  In addition to the Women’s Self-Defense Class, they offer American Combat Jiu-Jitsu, Jeet Kune Do, Kids Kickboxing, and Muay Thai Kickboxing classes.

The Women’s Self-Defense Class is being offered at the library for free but registration is required.  To register, please call 828-304-0500 ext. 7235.  Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is located at 375 3rd Street NE on the SALT Block.
