Glen Alpine, NC – The owners of the Inn At Glen Alpine have have announced their first Turkey Tail Wine Festival. Tickets are $20 in advance online at Tickets sold at the gate will be $25, cash only.

The Festival is this Saturday, May 14, from 12pm-5pm on the grounds of the Inn at 105 Davis Street in Glen Alpine, NC.
The Festival has been organized with Lake James Cellars Winery for the town Of Glen Alpine.

Over 100 years ago the conductors on the train that still runs through Glen Alpine today thought a stump near the depot looked like a turkey tail, and the legend is steeped in the culture even today.

Come spend the day in beautiful, historic Glen Alpine and experience delicious wines from Local and Regional Wineries, including: Belle Nicho Winery & Howling Dog Farm, Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery, Lake James Cellars Winery, Linville Falls Winery, Shadow Line Vineyard & Winery, Silver Fork Vineyard & Winery, South Creek Vineyard & Winery and Southern Charm Winery.

The Turkey Tail Wine Festival also presents for your enjoyment musical entertainment with City Rhythm Big Band Jazz and Roadside Attraction (Folk/Rock/Americana).

Food vendors are Poor Man’s BBQ Food Truck and My Local Bakery.

Arts and Craft vendors are Time & Again Designs Jewelry, Leonard’s Stained Glass,

The LocalS Market, NC Made Art, Jewelry and Gifts; Moody Sue Designs, Handmade Wooden Wine Accessories and Wine Dog Studio, Accessories Crafted From Wine Barrels.

Ticket includes a festival wine glass, tastings from each winery, plus wine will be available for purchase by the glass and bottle. This festival will be held rain or shine. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome! No pets or coolers please.

Advanced purchase tickets must be presented at the gate to obtain a festival wrist band which grants access to the event.
