Trade Alley ArtHickory – Trade Alley Art, a cooperative of local artists and artisans, will donate 15% of their proceeds from each purchase to Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley on Saturday December 16 from 3pm until 8pm.  Trade Alley Art is located at 25 Second Street NW in Hickory.

“We are excited about the partnership with Trade Valley Art and their artists.  This year’s donation will go toward support of the ongoing Rudy Project”, said Habitat Executive Director Mitzi Gellman.

The Rudy Project honors the memory and contributions of Mayor Rudy Wright to the City of Hickory.  With the support of the Wright Family, Habitat for Humanity has established a goal to build a home and a picnic pavilion in the Northstone Community in memory of Mayor Wright.

Founded in 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley is an ecumenical, Christian-based organization dedicated to the premise that everyone should have a safe and affordable place to live.  Through engaging families as partners, Habitat seeks to build not only homes, but strength self-reliance, and stability as well.
