Wilkesboro, NC – The descendants of Irishman Brinsley (1713-1794) and Englishman Solomon (circa 1742-1807) will celebrate their 3rd Annual Barnes Reunion on Saturday, May 19, 2018. It will be between 11 am and 3pm at Cub Creek Park, 315 Henderson Street, Wilkesboro, NC 28697. Both men died in Wilkes County, NC.

The two families account for ten Revolutionary War Patriots and that Brinsley’s family originally settled in Old Orange County, NC. As active participants in the War of Regulation, they had to flee to Wilkes.
A major branch migrated several Tennessee in the early 1800’s. Last year family came from as far away as Kansas. One will be coming from Australia to this year’s event.
