New to Disc:

Paramount:

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) released as part of an Indiana Jones 4K box set last year, the classic film is getting a stand-alone release in a handsome new steel book package. The set retains extras issued in previous releases.

Universal:

The Ambulance (2022) The latest from Michael Bay, the tale of thieves who steal an ambulance when their latest attempt at a heist goes awry, gets the Blu Ray and 4K treatment this week along with a few bonus featurettes.

Sony:

The recent theatrical releases, Father Stu (2022) and Morbius (2022) are two of the offerings from the label this week.

Film Movement:

The Bulgarian comedy import, Fear (2021), which tackles the subject of xenophobia, and Taiwan filmmaker Tsai Ming Liang’s 1994 tale of three characters sharing a supposedly uninhabited apartment, Vive L’Amour, have been issued this week from the label. The latter release comes with a new essay booklet and featurette.

Mnibus Entertainment:

The documentary focusing on struggling comedians, some of whom were homeless, Comedy Confessions (2022), makes its way to disc this week.

Corinth Films:

Caged Birds (2021) is a dramatization of the life of Barbara ‘Babs’ Hug, a radical lawyer fighting for prison reform in Switzerland.

Cohen Media:

Last Passenger (2013) Dougray Scott stars as a doctor who, along with his young son, find themselves on a runaway train in this thriller. Extras include featurettes and trailers.

Kino:

New offerings from the label this week include Last of the Dogmen (1995), Mysterious Dr. Fu Manchu/Return of Dr. Fu Manchu (1929-30), Love Slaves of the Amazon (1957) and The Horse Soldiers (1959).

Warner Archive:

The Clock (1945) Judy Garland is a young woman who finds herself swept off her feet by a GI (Robert Walker) on a two-day pass in this romantic classic from director Vincente Minelli. Extras include a cartoon and short and a radio adaptation.

Bayview Entertainment:

Ninja Badass (2022) Billed as an ode to 80s B flicks, this is filmmaker Ryan Harrison’s comedic tale of what happens when a traveling Ninja Club kidnaps a young woman after one of their performances and the havoc that ensues. Extras include a commentary and blooper reel.
