Hickory – St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Hickory is excited to present its first summer musical. This year’s production is a full theatrical presentation of Godspell. In May, auditions were held which were open to the community for the production. Godspell offers a light, fun and energetic look at many of the parables of the book of Matthew.

Admission for Godspell is FREE to the public (a love offering will be accepted to help offset production costs.) Anyone is welcome to attend. This is St. Luke’s opportunity to offer a gift to the community.

Show dates and times- July 26 and 27 at 7:00 pm. (house opens for seating at 6:30 p.m.) and July 28 at 2:00 p.m. (house opens for seating at 1:30 p.m.

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church is located at 52 16th Ave N.W., Hickory, NC 28601 (Family Life Center).

With a cast of 15 people, including; Jonathan Gilchrist as Jesus, Evan Guthrie as John the Baptist and Judas, Jasmine Battle, Hakeem Bey, Peter Bost, Reagan Conard, Mary DeVenney, Jennifer Goodwin, Caroline Hendren, Terri Holloman, Faith Huff, Kasie Morgan, Louise Propst, Clam Sepulveda, Jessica Stamey. The show is directed and music directed by Marie Denig, the Director of Music and Creative Arts. Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak.
