Hickory – Friday, September 16 at 6 p.m., the City of Hickory’s 2016 Sails Original Music Series will continue with the Quebe Sisters, an authentic, all-Americana, trio of fiddlers.

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, the three sisters have been singing in multi-part close harmony and winning fiddle championships since they were pre-teens.  The Quebe’s unique brand of music is a blend of swing, vintage country, bluegrass, jazz standards, and Texas style fiddling. Along with headlining their own shows to ever-growing audiences, they have shared stages with American music legends like Willie Nelson, George Strait, Merle Haggard, and many others.

“We are looking forward to this trio of sisters playing at the Sails Original Music Series this Friday.  With the fun combination of fiddle playing and their vocals, we are in for a real treat,” said Hickory’s Communications and Marketing Manager Dana Kaminske.  “Being able to bring this type of talent to Hickory from various places across the country to entertain our community is what this music series is all about; unique music with fun, passion, and variety.”

The show begins at 6 p.m. and audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.  Olde Hickory Brewery and Silver Fork Winery will sell beer and wine in designated areas, and there are a variety of close-by restaurants to patronize.

Sponsors of the Sails Original Music Series include Bob Sinclair Music, Crowne Plaza, Focus, Hickory Metro Convention Center and Visitor’s Bureau, The Hickory Wine Shoppe, Larry’s Music & Sound, Olde Hickory Brewery, Patrick, Harper & Dixon, LLP Attorneys at Law, TheSilentP.com, and WHKY 1290 AM, as well as the Friends of the Series, Cafe Rule, Community Relations Council, Hickory Museum of Art, Silver Fork Winery, WNCW (88.7 FM), and WNNC (1230 AM)/WAIZ (630 AM).
