Statesville, NC – On April 27, Rescue Ranch will host a free Arbor/Earth Day Celebration at its 87-acre facility. During the morning (9 a.m. – noon), community residents are invited to help beautify the inclusive, 10,000 square foot playground by planting trees, flowers and spreading mulch.

During the afternoon (noon – 3 p.m.), guests are invited to enjoy games, meeting the outside animal ambassadors and walking on the nature trails. Vendors will be on hand with food and merchandise available for purchase. Spaces for vendors are still available by calling (704) 768-0909.

Plant donations are welcome and suggested as follows: Forsythia, Day Lilies, Boxwoods, Butterfly Bushes, Cone Flowers, Black Eyed Susans, Lirope and Phlox.

Rescue Ranch is an animal welfare organization that uses educational programs to promote respect for animals and responsible pet ownership, as well as agricultural, environmental and wildlife conservation.
