The Fourth Annual LRU 5K is produced by the University City Commission (UCC), a board comprised of representatives from the City of Hickory and LR. The UCC is aimed at strengthening and broadening the relationship between LR and the City of Hickory.
The board works to grow LR’s student body presence and interaction in Hickory, while also increasing the young adult population, enhancing the collegiate atmosphere, and promoting school pride throughout the community.
