Newton, NC – The Catawba County Library System has four programs scheduled in September covering a variety of topics relevant to high school students and parents who are considering attending college. These programs will provide guidance in tuition financing, student resume building, the Common Application, and much more.
The Main Library in Newton will host two programs in partnership with Crystal McMillan from Wells Fargo to explore tuition finance options. High school juniors and their families will be the focus group on Tuesday, September 12th at 6 pm. A second program will be held on Thursday, September 14th at 6 pm for high school seniors.
The St. Stephens Branch Library has also planned programs with the first being held on Monday, September 11th at 6 pm to help students build their resume and activities list for college applications, and to learn more about scholarships that are available throughout our community.
On Monday, September 18th at 6 pm, the St. Stephens Branch Library invites students and parents to “Finding the Right College for You: Application Boot Camp” for help in discovering the colleges that best fit their needs. Participants will also learn about the “Common Application” website that makes it possible to explore and apply to more than 700 schools world-wide with just one application.
