Hickory – The Piedmont Post Polio Support Group will meet on Tuesday, September 11, at 1am at Corinth Reformed Church, 150, 16th Ave, NW, Hickory, in the Althouse Building (located behind the main sanctuary). Guest speaker will be Jennifer O’Neill, DPT, MHA, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

The program be open forum style. Subjects to be discussed are: safe exercises and movements, how to adapt gym equipment to fit the unique needs of post polio survivors, common fears and misconception regarding polio survivors, and other concerns of group concerning aging and exercises. Anyone interested is welcomed to attend.

The Hickory Rotary Club sponsors the group. Cliff Moone serves as Rotary Liaison. The Rotary Club International supports efforts to combat polio worldwide.
