Hickory – Olde Hickory Brewery is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, over a quarter-century of brewing excellence, with a special limited release of Omega Point. OHB blended many barrels of award-winning barleywines to create their second release of Omega Point.OHB Celebrates 25th

Head brewer and co-owner Steven Lyerly said, “This is a very special beer. The oldest beer in the blend is nine years old, and the youngest is three years old. It is a blend of Bourbon, Brandy, Burgundy, and Sauterne barrels. Although this is the second release of Omega Point, this one was a very different process and was created by palate.”

Olde Hickory Brewery’s 25th Anniversary was actually in 2020. However, Lyerly said they wanted to wait to celebrate with everyone and share this special release when things opened back up.

This limited release of Omega Point will only be available for purchase on Saturday, June 26th, at Olde Hickory Brewery, located at 2 3rd St SW, Hickory, NC 28602. Sales will begin at 9 am, and it is a cash-only event. The limit is one case, 24 bottles, per person and the cost is $10 per 12 ounce bottle. Omega Point is a complex combination of barleywines with 11.7% ABV.

OHB has also recently released some other very special beers.
