Newton, NC — Newton is offering a new way for you to stay informed about what’s going on in the city through Newton Notify. Newton Notify allows users to create an online account and opt to receive various categories of important notifications from the city.
With hectic schedules and an overload of information coming at people every day, Newton Notify is an easy way to have information about what’s going on in the city of Newton delivered directly to your phone via voice or text messages or to your email inbox. Users can select to receive any or all notifications in the following categories: surveys, city events, city meetings, recreation programs, and miscellaneous announcements.
“Newton Notify is one part of our ongoing effort to reach citizens in the ways that are most convenient for them,” Newton Mayor Anne P. Stedman said. “We want to make sure everyone who is interested in knowing what’s happening in the city has easy access to information about our programs and events. From Newton City Council meeting times to event details and volunteer opportunities, Newton Notify is your one-stop source for information about what’s going on in Newton.”

Newton Notify is intended to deliver non-emergency notifications. Emergency notifications will continue to be delivered through Catawba County’s CodeRED Community Alert System.
