WWDDVale, NC – Maria Bostian, a children’s book author with a passion for safety, will be selling and autographing copies of her two children’s books entitled What Should Daisy Do? and Firefighters’ Busy Day on Saturday, August 26th and Sunday, August 27th from 10am to 5pm and Noon to 5pm, respectively, at the Maiden Lions Club booth at the 12th Annual Woodmill Winery’s Grape Stomp Festival. Woodmill Winery is located at 1350 Woodmill Lane in Vale. To located Woodmill Winery via GPS, there address is 1506 John Beam Road, Vale.

Although these two hard cover children’s book sell for $15.99 plus tax, Bostian will be donating a percentage from each book sold at the Maiden Lions Club booth at the 12th Annual Grape Stomp Festival to assist the Lions in their humanitarian endeavors. Due to her generosity, the Maiden Lions will be able to purchase eyeglasses/eye examinations for needy in their service area, provide services to the blind/visually impaired in Catawba County, and other Lions Club charities. Bostian, a former Montessori teacher of children 6 to 9 years old, has over 21 years of teaching experience.

Maiden Lions Club will be selling different types, and sizes of Lions Club brooms to fit most people’s budget. The proceeds from the Lions Club brooms sale will benefit their humanitarian service projects.

In observance of Camp Dogwood For The Blind’s 50th Anniversary, the Maiden Lions Club will be selling raffle tickets for $10 per ticket. Camp Dogwood, a therapeutic recreational facility and conference center, is owned and operated by the NC Lions, Inc. and located along Lake Norman in Sherrills Ford in Catawba County.

The purchase of Camp Dogwood Raffle Tickets helps provide over 700 blind and visually impaired adults a life- changing summer camp experience. The Grand Prize winner can choose between 1 of 4 new vehicles: 2018 Buick Encore, 2018 Buick Verano, 2018 GMC Terrain and a 2018 GMC Canyon Truck. Drawing for the Grand Prize winner is June 15,2018.
