Boger City, NC – Boger City United Methodist Church, located at 2320 East Main Street, will hold their Longest Night Service on Wednesday, December 21st at 7:00 p.m. in their sanctuary.

The Longest Night Service ( also known as Blue Christmas) is a tradition Christian tradition, is a day during the Advent season marking the longest night of the year. This is a time to step out of the rush of the world around us at Christmas. A time to recognize that the world is not an easy world with many things making it hard and sad, even as we celebrate the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We take this time to remember that the first Christians had endured a very hard  world waiting for a Savior to find their hope in Him.

Everyone is welcome to come and to attend this special service for a time of acknowledgement of pain and grief even as we look to the joy, peace, and hope the birth of our Savior gives us. The observance of Holy Communion is traditionally observed as part of the  Longest Day Worship Service.
