Hickory- Are you looking for a family friendly admission free cruise-in car show? If you love classic cars, then you have an opportunity to see and to showcase some of the area’s classic to current muscle cars, motorcycles, and trucks on the second Saturday evening of each month through October. The cruise-in will be held in The Market Place parking lot, located at 2950 NC Highway 127 in Hickory. Would you like to learn more about Long View Lions Club and Lions Club International, the world’s largest coeducational service organization? Would like to help the Long View Lions raise money to help the blind and visually impaired by patronizing their concession booth at the cruise-in?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then you should make plans to attend the car show sponsored by Catawba Valley Muscle on Saturday, August 10th at 2950 NC Highway 127 in Hickory, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This event is being hosted by The Market Place and Court Street Grille in Mountain View. Cruisers will receive a 15% off food purchases only, excludes alcohol sales, at the Mountain View Court Street Grille location.

According to Teri Ann Bruhn, with Catawba Valley Cruisers and Catawba Valley Muscle, “Everyone is welcome to attend and showcase their vehicles, motorcycles, classic to current cars, car clubs, and spectators. There will be a designated location in The Market Place parking lot. It doesn’t matter if you have to push or pull your vehicles, motorcycles, or trucks. Pets are welcome on a leash. There will be no loud music, no alcohol in parking lot and no reckless driving. All canopies must be tied down.”

The Long View Lions Club will be selling brooms, hot dogs, bratwurst, chips, bottled water, and snacks at their concession booth. Proceeds from the Lions Club Concession booth will promote sight conservation, purchase eye exams and eyeglasses for the needy, sponsors blind/visually impaired adults to Camp Dogwood, NC Lions Visually Impaired Fishing Tournament at Nags Head, sponsors an annual cookout for the blind/visually impaired of Catawba County, and other Lions Club charities.
