Hickory – Humane Society of Catawba County will be taking owner surrender animals from the public into the Hickory Facility, 3224 20th Ave SE, dependent upon space availability.

All animals received into the care of HSCC will be evaluated, and then provided all appropriate medical care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and relevant testing. These animals will then be placed into caring homes through our adoption and rescue programs. This new owner surrender program will begin July 1, and will not be restricted to Catawba County residents, but will be open to all. Please remember that If you find a stray animal, it should be taken to the Catawba County Animal Services/Shelter located at 201 Government Services Drive, Newton.
