Newton, NC – Catawba Regional Hospice bereavement counselors are hosting the organization’s annual Brighter Days Grief Camp at Rising Hope Farms in Claremont, NC, on Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 9am till 2pm.

The camp offers young people an opportunity to heal from grief while experiencing moments of play and counseling. Along with horseback riding and group therapy, participants will be able to fish, paddle-boat, and make crafts.

The event is open to any young person aged 6-18 who has experienced the loss of a significant loved one – and not solely someone served by Catawba Regional Hospice.

If you are interested in having a child or youth attend, please contact Melanie Shoemaker at or 828.466.0466, x2171 by August 4, 2017. There is no cost for the session, and lunch is provided.
