Hickory – The Hickory Music Factory will pay tribute to choral director and composer Jim Williams, the late blues singer Pop Ferguson, and drummer and educator Rick Dilling at this year’s Tribute Concert on Saturday, January 26 in the Drendel Auditorium at the Salt Block in Hickory NC.

The Hickory Music Factory honors musicians from the area each year who have had a significant impact on our community musically. The concert will be filled with a wide variety of musical genres, from choral works, to blues, to big band jazz and will feature Rick Dilling on drums, Clyde Ferguson (Pop Ferguson’s son on guitar), area choral musicians featuring the compositions of Jim Williams.

A plaque with their names will hang on the “Wall of Fame” at HMF along side the past 7 years of honorees.

The Hickory Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Rick Cline, will accompany honorees.

General admission is $10, $5 for ages 18 and under and can be purchased on line at hickorymusicfactory.com or at the door. Doors will open at 1pm and the concert will start at 2pm.
