Hickory – The City of Hickory will close its offices on Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. City of Hickory offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 6, at 8:30 a.m.

Public Services
The Solid Waste Division and its services, including garbage and recycling pickup, will operate on a normal schedule.

Hickory Public Library
Hickory Public Library, the Patrick Beaver Memorial main facility and the Ridgeview Branch, will be closed on Monday, July 5.

Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism
All City of Hickory recreation centers will be closed on Sunday, July 4. The Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, July 5. Highland Recreation Center will be open on Monday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Brown Penn Recreation Center will be open to youth ages 15 and under on Monday, July 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Parks are open 365 days.
