Hickory – Grab your favorite furry, four-legged friend(s) and join Hickory Parks and Recreation Department for a Spring Bark Party at Fairbrook Optimist Dog Park on Saturday, April 6, from 11am to 2pm. This family-friendly, dog-friendly community event is free and open to the public. Bring your dog and enjoy the day. Or, help a dog find its forever home by adopting from the Humane Society of Catawba County.

The event will feature amazing canine demonstrations, fun contests, giveaways, food trucks, live music, and vendors selling unique, dog-related products.

Spring Bark Party events and activities include:
Offsite Rabies Clinic offering 1-year vaccinations for $7.00
Dog Contests for Best Kisser, Best Trick, and Owner Lookalike
Hickory Police K9 Unit Demonstrations
Obedience and Agility Demonstrations
“Ask the Trainer” Booth
Vendors

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Humane Society of Catawba County. Stations will be set up for attendees to donate pet food, money, or blankets to the Humane Society.

The Spring Bark Party is sponsored by Veterinary Referral Hospital of Hickory and Green Team ChemDry.
