Newton, NC – If you’re looking for something do during the weekends this summer, head to Downtown Newton for Saturday on the Square.

Sponsored by Downtown Newton Development Association, Saturday on the Square features free activities for the whole family each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 1924 Courthouse Square.

The following schedule of events is planned for the last two Saturdays on the Square in June:

June 22: Grab a blanket and head to Picnic Day! Families can bring their own picnic or purchase food from our great local restaurants before having a relaxing brunch or lunch on the courthouse lawn.

June 29: Art Day will include a variety of interactive art projects that are sure to be fun for the whole family.

Saturday on the Square is a great opportunity to drop by the Downtown Newton to participate in fun activities and visit local merchants for amazing shopping and dining experiences.
