Lenoir, NC – Grassroots Grant applications are currently being accepted for community arts projects taking place in fiscal year 2019-2020. Any non-profit group hosting or developing arts programs and projects may apply. Under the encouragement of the North Carolina Arts Council, the Caldwell Arts Council is seeking applications for new projects and events as well as accepting grant requests from past participants. Applications are available at www.caldwellarts.com under “For & About Artists/Grant Opportunities”.

Grants must be 100% matched dollar for dollar by the requesting organization, and applicants may apply for up to $2,000 in funding. Funded projects must be relevant to the arts at the community level and must be completed by June 15, 2020. Also credit must be given to the North Carolina Arts Council and The Caldwell Arts Council in any printed information or news releases, and a final report is required at the completion of the project.

Organizations from all areas of Caldwell County in all disciplines of the arts are encouraged to apply. Final packets should include a cover letter with the completed application. If needed, Arts Council staff will be available by appointment to review applicant information. Applications must be submitted to the Caldwell Arts Council, 601 College Avenue (PO Box 1613) Lenoir NC 28645 by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019. Organizations will be notified of their funding status the week of October 28, 2019.

The Caldwell Arts Council is located at 601 Caldwell Arts Council in Lenoir, the office and galleries are open free to the public Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
