Hickory – Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is offering a Genealogy Workshop on Thursday, May 11th at 7:00 p.m.  Join Peggy Mainess, Hickory Public Library’s Genealogy Librarian, in a presentation about using records in genealogy research.

This workshop will focus on finding allusive ancestors. Tracing female, Native American, African American, adopted and illegitimate ancestors can be daunting.  This session will focus on the records, sources and techniques needed to assist in research for these groups.

The workshop is free, but registration is required.  Workshop will take place in Patrick Beaver Memorial Library’s Carolina Room on the second floor.  To register, call 304-0500 ext. 7235.  The Library is located at 375 3rd Street NE, Hickory.
