Newton, NC – Catawba Regional Hospice is offering a free screening of the documentary To Joey, With Love at the Abernethy Laurels Community Center (Highway 16, Newton) on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, beginning at 6pm.
To Joey, With Love chronicles the real-life love affair of Joey+Rory, the country duo who took a year away from their careers to have a child and then faced Joey’s struggle with – and ultimate surrender to – cancer, at home and under hospice care.
The couple’s powerful story is filled with intimate moments of life, love, and hope that never dies. It’s an encouraging tale of choosing life when it matters and choosing to let go when it’s necessary.
As a special perk for folks attending To Joey, With Love, Abernethy Laurels is offering a meal option that will be served during the screening. Dinner is $10 per person, and reservations for it can be made by calling Shaylyn Ladd at 828-465-8028 by July 26.
Reservations are not required for the movie.
Hospice staff will be available following the screening for folks who may have questions or would like more information.
