Hickory-Patrick Beaver Memorial Library will host a movie night on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 6pm.  An episode of the documentary Shakespeare Uncovered: The Stories Behind the Bard’s Greatest Plays, Series 1 will be shown.  Each episode from this series explores the stories behind the different plays by Shakespeare and covers how they came to be written, how they have been performed, and how they have survived for over 400 years.

The episode to be watched on January 29th investigates the legacy of the two brilliant cross-dressing comedies Twelfth Night and As You Like It.  Presenters Joely Richardson and her mother Vanessa Redgrave explore the great comic and romantic heroines created by Shakespeare in two perennially popular plays.

Movie Night at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on January 29th at 6pm is free and registration is not required. For more information, please call 828-304-0500 ext. 7235. The library is located at 375 3rd Street NE on the SALT Block.
