Hickory – The Exodus Ministries 15th annual “Giving Back” Gospel Concert at Exodus Missionary Outreach Church on Friday, January 11, 2019 is a tradition, and the official close of the holiday season for many in our community. The concert is their way of saying “thank you” for all those who have supported Exodus Homes, a faith based United Way agency that provides supportive housing for homeless recovering people returning to the community from treatment centers and prison. They will be also “giving back” to those who have supported Exodus Church, and the programs at Catawba Correctional Center. The concert will feature the renown Exodus Missionary Outreach Church Gospel Choir and Imperfect But Forgiven, the gospel group from Catawba Correctional Center.

The concert is a lively event with foot-stomping, hand-clapping, get-up-and-dance gospel music that inspires the spirit and moves the heart in praise for all that God has done. “2018 was an amazing year for Exodus and we hope the public will come celebrate with us. We are especially excited that Imperfect But Forgiven will be with us this year because they have powerful testimonies of the good work being done in our prison ministry programs” said Exodus Homes executive director the Rev. Reggie Longcrier.

During the concert, awards for the Individual, Group, and Business of the Year will be given as well as powerful testimonies of recovery from those who have learned a new way to live in the Exodus ministry.

The event is at 7pm and is free and open to the public. Following the concert will be a time of light refreshments and fellowship for all who attend. For more information, please contact the Rev. Susan Walker at 828-962-8196 or [email protected]
