Hickory – Catawba Valley Community College will host the “Skills For Skills Holiday Arts & Crafts” show Saturday, December 1, 9am to 3pm in the college’s Tarlton Complex on the main campus on Hwy. 70 in Hickory. Admission is free.

Vendors will be selling hand-made furniture, wreaths, clothing, skin-care products, pet products, jewelry, wood crafts, leather crafts, candles, signs and books.

Booth rental proceeds will help fund the college’s SkillsUSA student chapter for state and national competitions. The chapter has earned numerous top 10 placements at both the state and national level during the past 14 years. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. CVCC’s SkillsUSA chapter is recognized as one of the best programs in the country. It is a campus-wide success winning dozens of medals at state and national competitions.CVCC’s SkillsUSA program is supported by the CVCC Foundation, Inc.
