Taylorsville, NC – Catawba Valley Community College’s Alexander Furniture Academy is accepting registration for its next 24 week training program beginning January 2019.

CVCC Alexander Furniture Academy is an industry driven training program designed by local furniture manufacturers to prepare individuals for highly paid sewing operator and upholstery craftsmen positions that are in high demand by some of the region’s largest employers. Space is limited to 15 in each track.

The fee is $250 per semester plus required tools; scholarships are available.

The Alexander Furniture Academy is a public/private partnership between major Alexander County furniture manufacturers and the college to prepare students for skilled positions that are in high demand by some of the largest employers in our area. It is located at CVCC’s Alexander Center for Education in Taylorsville.

Founding sponsors include Craftmaster Furniture, Kincaid Furniture, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.
