Hickory – The Catawba Valley Community College Small Business Center is presenting a series of social media seminars to assist entrepreneurs and small businesses market and build their business.

On Monday March 5 the Small Business Center will present “FaceBook for Small Business” from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center. Participants will learn the basics of setting up a Facebook business page as well as information about promotions and using FaceBook to build online business.

On Thursday March 8 the Small Business Center will present “Instagram for Small Business” from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center. Participants will learn how to use photos to promote their business on Instagram and use this platform to market their business.

On Monday March 12 the Small Business Center will present “Using Paid On-Line Ads to Grow Your Business” from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Patrick Beaver Memorial Library in Hickory. This session explores options to advertise using online resources through major platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, as well as Google AdWords.

On Wednesday March 14 the Small Business Center will present “YouTube and Videos for Small Business” from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at CVCC’s Corporate Development Center. This seminar shows small business owners how to set up their YouTube account and make effective videos with a small business budget.

There is no charge to attend these seminars, but pre-registration is required. Participants can register for individual seminars, or the entire series.
