Hickory – Are you looking for a family-friendly admission free Cruise-In (car show) next week-end? Do you enjoy an opportunity to see and to showcase some of the area’s classic to current muscle cars, motorcycles, and trucks? Would you like to help the Long View Lions Club raised money for the blind at the same time by patronizing their concession booth and purchasing one of their brooms?

If you answered “Yes” to these questions, then you should make plans to attend a car show sponsored by the Catawba Valley Muscle on Saturday, July 13th at 2950 NC Highway 127 in Hickory from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event is being hosted by The Market Place & Court Street Grille (Mountain View). Cruisers will receive a 15% off food purchased only (excludes alcohol sales) at Court Street Grille’s Mountain View location.

According to Terri Ann Bruhn, with Catawba Valley Cruisers and Catawba Valley Muscle, “everyone is welcome to attend and showcase their vehicles, motorcycles, classic to current cars, car clubs, and spectators. There will be a designated location in the Market Place parking lot. It doesn’t matter if you have to push or pull your vehicles, motorcycles, or trucks. Pets welcome on a leash. There will be no loud music , no alcohol in the parking lot, and no reckless driving. All canopies must be tied down.”

The Long View Lions Club will be selling brooms, mops, hot dogs, bratwurst, chips, bottle water, sodas, and snacks at their concession booth. Proceeds from the Lions Club Concession Booth will promote sight conservation, purchase eyeglasses and eye exams for the needy, sponsor blind/visually impaired adults from Catawba County to Camp Dogwood and NC Visually Impaired Fishing Tournament @ Nags Head, sponsor an annual cookout for Catawba County’s blind/visually impaired, and other Lions Club charities.
