Hickory – Catawba County Council on Aging and Catawba County Library system will offer two Tech Connect classes this month. Tech Connect classes Tech Connect classes are free and Catawba County Council On Aginginformal technology information sessions held at Catawba County Library branches. Tech Connect Librarian, Chanda Platania, leads the group classes.

Learn the Basics of Going Virtual at St. Stephen’s Public Library on Thursday, February 17 at 3:00 p.m. Many fun and interesting programs are offered via Zoom but using it isn’t always easy. Join us for a tutorial on signing up for, logging into, and joining meetings on Zoom. We will look at the various settings available to you as a presenter and attendee and how you can set up your own meetings. St. Stephen’s Public Library is located at 3225 Springs Rd NE, Hickory.

Social Media Q&A takes place at Southwest Public Library on Tuesday, February 22 at 3:00 p.m. Social Media is a great way to connect with family and friends that live far away but can also be confusing and hard to maneuver. Bring your questions to the Social Media Q&A program to get the answers you are seeking. If you have your own device, such as a laptop or cell phone, please feel free to bring them.
