Newton, NC – Carolina Vines releases its’ first wines on Friday April 23, 2021 at 4:00 pm. The wines are being released as a component of the inaugural Catawba Valley Festival ofCarolina Vines Invites Public For The Release Of First Locally Produced Wines the Arts to highlight innovation in the Culinary Arts.

Five new wines will be unveiled, under the new “Carolina Vines” wine label:

• Southern Magnolia – peach Chardonnay
• Raspberry Blush – raspberry white Merlot
• Blueberry Blush – blueberry Syrah
• Table Rock Red, – black cherry Merlot
• Linville Mist – green apple Riesling

The public is invited to attend with complimentary samples of the new wines available from 4:00pm until 5:00pm at Carolina Vines in Downtown Newton. The wine release celebrates the first wines produced under the Carolina Vines wine label. The wines are made locally by winemaker Josh Fowler from the Winery at Catawba Farms, the sister company of Carolina Vines. A new Wine Club will be introduced as part of the wine release that provides in-store pick-up or shipping to most states.

“The new Carolina Vines wines continue the creative expansion of beverage innovation in Newton. The wines appeal to a range of palates from sweet to off-dry preferences. Plus, these wines make the best wine slushies and fruit sangria!” says Dennis Baucom, owner of Carolina Vines.

Located at 19 North College in Historic Downtown Newton, NC, Carolina Vines opened in May 2013 as an international wine shop and wine bar. The addition of the new Carolina Vines-branded wines expands the wine selection for which Carolina Vines is famous to include exemplary, locally-produced wines under a new urban winery concept.

Tastings are available Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm.
