Newton, NC – Chances are, you and your family are not ready. Statistics show most of us aren’t. For many, the importance of legal pre-planning when it comes to matters of life and death can seem off-putting, or even daunting at best. Perhaps that is why statistics indicate less than one-third of our nation has completed an advance directive, a will, or appointed a fiduciary power of attorney in the event something should happen.

In response to this alarming statistic, Carolina Caring is proud to host a special seminar, “Legal Documents and Actions to Avoid Costly Mistakes in Life and Death Decision Making.”. Presented by local attorney Kimberly Whitley, the one-hour session is designed to help ease the anxiety in planning for the future and will address topics such as powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, living wills, HIPAA Authorizations, and the basics of different kinds of estates and mistakes to avoid.

The seminar will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Carolina Caring, 3875 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658 in Building One Conference Room. There is no charge to attend, however, attendees are asked to R.S.V.P. to Rev. Sandi Hood, Carolina Caring, 828.466.0466, ext. 3212 or [email protected].
