Bethlehem, NC – Come out and support the Disabled American Veterans of Alexander County by attending a dinner sponsored by Olive Garden and Chapter 84 of the Alexander County DAV. The dinner and live auction begin at 5pm, on Saturday, October 20, at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. Dinner includes spaghetti, bread sticks, salad, drinks, and dessert, for $15 and will be followed by the live auction. Door prizes will be awarded. There is a long and varied list of items to be auctioned including: household furniture, leaf blowers, lawn furniture, and more. This is the third annual event held by Chapter 84 of the Taylorsville DAV. All proceeds go to benefit Alexander County disabled veterans. The Disabled American Veterans are dedicated to a single purpose, empowering veterans to lead high quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available and funds raised at this event will go to purchasing things like hospital beds, materials for building wheelchair ramps, wheelchairs, walkers, and other items of benefit to the disabled.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling James Adair at 828.495.4688 or 828.446.3507. The DAV meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 582 Carrigan Road in Taylorsville. Alexander County veterans are invited to attend meetings that start with a meal at 6:15 to 7pm, and continue until 8:15pm. For more information visit the Taylorsville DAV Chapter 84 Facebook page.
