Hickory – The Hickory Community Theatre has announced auditions for its upcoming production of Hamlet. Presenting a hot, contemporary take on Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy as its sixth show of the season, HCT is looking for talented actors to bring this story to life.

Auditions are 7:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday, December 12 and 13 at Hickory Community Theatre, located at 30 Third Street NW in Downtown Hickory. Actors need only come to one of the two nights. Possible Callbacks are 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14.

Auditions are open to everyone. Ethnic diversity is strongly encouraged and is part of the theatre’s vision. This production is looking for 15 or more actors aged 17 and up.

Rehearsals are 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Mondays through Thursdays and Sundays TBD beginning December 19. Being in a show at HCT requires a great time commitment. If you will only accept a larger or smaller role because of your own time concerns, or if you are auditioning for just the experience, welcome! – but please inform the director of your intentions.

Performances are 8:00 pm Fridays & Saturdays, 7:30 pm Thursdays, and 2:30 Sundays

February 3-19, 2017. Additionally, school performances are at 9:30 am February 14 and 15. ALL ACTORS MUST BE AT ALL PERFORMANCES.
