Hickory – ACAP (Adult Children of Aging Parents) presents “Who, What, Why, When, Where and How: Area Resources for Mom, Dad and Me” on Tuesday, January 9, 5:30-7:00 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Hickory (2780 N. Center Street, Hickory). Speaker for the program is Mary Mitchell, Family Caregiver Support Specialist, Area Agency on Aging, Western Piedmont Council of Governments.
Sometimes, we simply need some help. In the journey of caring for (or even caring about) an aging parent, being aware of resources that can help, knowing where to turn when a need arises, and understanding how to access services can be enormously valuable. Mary Mitchell, Family Caregiver Support Specialist, Area Agency on Aging, our January ACAP-Hickory speaker, will help program attendees become familiar with the extensive resources in our area related to caring for an aging loved one, understand how to best access the resources, and gain support for the caregiver role.
We hope you will join us! To register for this FREE program, please contact us at fhall@ACAPcommunity.org or, toll-free, 1-877-599-ACAP (2227).
