Hickory – ACAP (Adult Children of Aging Parents) of Hickory presents “Over-the-Counter Medicines and Safety” on Tuesday, March 10th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall,Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Hickory.

Dr. Golnosh Sharefsaleh, Program Director of the Geriatric Fellowship, and faculty of the Internal Medicine Residency at Carolinas Health Care System, Blue Ridge will be speaking about Interactions between common over-the-counter medications and prescribed medications could have negative results as we age.

During this session the audience will better understand how over the counter medications, including multivitamins, may have potential dangers and interactions with each other and prescribed medications. Learn how changes with aging can interfere with medication metabolism, and elimination from the body. Safer alternatives to some common over-the-counter will be discussed.
