Hickory – Each May the Hickory Landmarks Society hosts an Annual Romance of the Garden Tour fund raising event, a Hickory home and garden tour. Thanks to the kindness of selected property owners, HLS has been fortunate to showcase over 170 of Hickory’s finest architectural buildings and gardens in the past 26 years. This years tour is Saturday, May 22, from 9 am-4 pm.

Due to the national health emergency and in the interest of safety, the Tour will consist of gardens only, a selection of some of the finest in Hickory! All properties are within Hickory city limits:

David and Patricia Jones Garden, 260 21st Ave., NW;
Bob Williams & Stephen Heavner Garden, 900 Sixth St., NW;
David & Cathy Lail Garden Heirloom Cottage Garden, 355 9th St. NW;

Carol DePerczel Garden (3 acres), 521 11th Ave. Circle, NW
