Hickory – The Hickory Police Department would like to extend an invitation to the public to attend a rabies clinic being held in the east front parking lot of Police Headquarters on Sunday, March 24th from 1pm until 4pm.

The rabies clinic for cats and dogs will offer reduced cost rabies vaccinations for $10 per animal. If you participated in the program last year, bring your paperwork and your pet could be eligible for the three-year vaccination for the same $10 fee.

Please be sure that dogs are on a leash and cats are in crates.

Hickory Police Department Animal Control reminds pet owners the best way to protect your pets and avoid the spread of rabies is to have them properly vaccinated.  Please contact the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551 to report any animals exhibiting abnormal behavior.
