Hickory – The next Piedmont Post Polio Support Group meeting will be on Tuesday, August 14, at 11am at Corinth Reformed Church, 150 16th Ave, NW, Hickory, in the Althouse Building (located behind the main sanctuary).

The goal of this group is to provide support, information and fellowship to polio survivors, family members and friends. Another goal is to educate the community about polio, post polio effects and information that may help enhance the quality of life for survivors. Also information concerning history and current news concerning the prevention of polio and the efforts of the Rotary Club International to combat polio outbreaks, world wide. Cliff Moone, from the Hickory Rotary Club, serves as Rotary liaison. Any one interested is welcomed to attend.
