Hickory – The Catawba County Partnership for Children is pleased to announce the 24th annual Family Fair on Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the front parking lot at the Partnership for Children Early Childhood Resource Center (738 4th Street SW in Hickory).

Each year Family Fair is held in honor of the nationally recognized Week of the Young Child. This year the theme is “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!” Family Fair provides a wide variety of fun, FREE activities for all Unifour families. Over 30 local agencies and organizations will provide games and crafts for children of all ages as well as information about community resources. We’ll have Hickory Public Schools’ Book Bus, a balloon artist, face painting, emergency vehicles, and Conrad the Crawdad. Each child will also receive a free book! This year Family Fair will also be held in conjunction with Catawba County Safe Kids Coalition’s “Safe Kids Day,” featuring car seat checks, safe medication disposal, and information about other ways to keep our children safe.

The Catawba County Partnership for Children works collaboratively with other child serving agencies to ensure that children start school healthy and prepared for success.
