Hickory – Join the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation (CRF) and local community members for our annual Lake Hickory Riversweep on Saturday, April 27 at 9am. This event will be a fun and fulfilling opportunity to help keep the lake beautiful and clean!

Volunteers can choose between two launch sites: Wittenberg Boating Access (89 Access Rd. Hickory, NC ) or Lake Hickory Marina (6706 Limbaugh Ln, Hickory, NC); each will have a site coordinator to hand out supplies and direct volunteer and boat captains where to go. We will spend three hours removing trash from the water and shorelines of Lake Hickory.

We need Boat Captains to help ferry volunteers, trash bags, and found items around the lake. We also need shoreline volunteers to fill bags with all the trash and recycling you can find. All cleanup supplies will be provided, including tarps to keep the boats clean. Children are welcome with adult supervision.

You can register for the Lake Hickory Riversweep at www.catawbariverkeeper.org/cervis, or by contacting Hillary Zorman at [email protected]/704.679.9494.

As a community we can come together to make a huge difference!
