Hickory, NC – The Guild of the Hickory Museum of Art, along with Talbots, is gearing up for its 43rd annual Angels of the Arts event. Evening for the Arts will be on November 11, 6-9 pm at Lake Hickory Country Club. Local businesses support the fundraiser in various ways including being sponsors and donating items for the silent or live auction. One of those businesses, Talbots, will hold an associated event on Friday October 27.
This year the local Talbots in Hickory will be supporting Evening for the Arts in a unique way. In addition to donating a women’s clothing item for the event’s silent auction, Talbots will be hosting a Fashionable Fundraiser to benefit the Museum on October 27 from 10 am -7 pm. Talbot’s will donate 10% of pre-tax sales to the Museum when customers identify themselves as a supporter of the HMA Guild. This day will also fall during Talbots annual Friends and Family event in which customers receive 30% off their entire purchase.
HMA Guild members will be on hand to greet shoppers and offer snacks and beverages during the Fashionable Fundraiser. Museum supporters are invited to consider purchasing an outfit for the Evening for the Arts or other fall occasions while also benefitting HMA.
Raffle tickets for a choice among three trips will be available from Guild members at Talbots on October 27. The winner win be drawn at the November 11 Evening for the Arts and does not need to be present. The offered trips for two are for a Caribbean cruise; a golf/spa trip to Scottsdale, AZ; or a $1000 shopping spree in Chicago. The $35 raffle tickets are also available online at www.HickoryArt.org.
Talbots is located at 3028 North Center Street in the Belle-Hollow Shopping Center.
