Hickory – The Hickory Music Factory will give the annual HMF Tribute Concert on Jan 26, at 2pm in the Drendle Auditorium at the Salt Block. This years honorees will be Sally Ross, Nathan Hefner, and Geneva Byrd. This event honors musicians and educators from the area each year who have had a significant impact on our community with their contributions of music performance and education. Its another way for the community to thank and celebrate these inspirational people and their contributions to our community.

Past honorees include: Jim Calabrese, Bob Taylor, Harris Brothers, Pat and Kay Crouch, Byron and Lou Bean, Jimmy Lackey, Pop Fergusson, Kent Duffield, Randy Ingold, John Gordon Ross, Jim Stockner, Charles Deal and more. The guest band will be the Hickory Jazz Orchestra led by Rick Cline, assistant directory of HMF and professor of music at LRU. The cost of the event is $10 general admission, $5 for students and seniors.

HMF’s mission is to build futures through music by teaching, performance, and community outreach.
