Lincolnton, NC – 2017’s Hog Happenin’ keeps getting bigger! If you want to try the best of the best BBQ and like 80’s hair metal, you definitely don’t want to miss this year’s event!

The festival is Friday, June 2, from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.

Hog Happenin’ is a regional bike fest and Kansas City Barbeque Society Sanctioned North Carolina State Championship Barbeque Cook-off that brings motorcycle owners and Barbeque teams together in downtown Lincolnton. The festival is two days of local, regional and national acts bringing their best to downtown Lincolnton.

Hog Happenin’ is more than just bikes and bar-b-que. From street vendors, to live entertainment on multiple stages, Hog Happenin’ has something for everyone. All Day Entertainment, will be the Kid Zone Sponsor this year. There will be several bounce houses, ice cream, face painting and all kinds of fun stuff for the kids.

Headlining this year are heavy metal legends Quiet Riot. Famously described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop chart at #1 on Billboard magazine, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their monster 1983 smash album Metal Health.

Hog Happenin’ VIP Quiet Riot Meet & Greet is available for ticket purchase. Come meet Quiet Riot before the concert. You’ll get a BBQ dinner to include slaw, baked beans, potato salad, and two beverage tickets. Then, have an opportunity for a personal experience to meet, grab a picture or get autographs with the band.

This ticketed event will be held at Bennett’s Iron Station Thunder before the concert Friday, June 2, from 6-8pm. Bennett’s Iron Station Thunder is located at 124 E Water St, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Other musical entertainment on Friday will be Southern Chainz, of Kings Mountain, NC. Saturdays entertainment starts off with Messier Objects from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm, then Acoustic Brew from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, and Bad Romeo ends the festival from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm.
