Hickory – The Hickory Downtown Development Association recently held their Quarterly General Membership meeting on Thursday, December 6th, and two of the big items on the agenda were selecting new board members and new Executive Officers for the coming year. The HDDA congratulates new executive officers Julie Owens of Taste Full Beans as President, Brandon Hedrick of First Security Insurance as President-Elect, and Emily Westmoreland of Broome Associates as Secretary/Treasurer for the 2019 term.

The Board also congratulates Julie and Emily on their re-election for a second 3-year term and Elizabeth Mullins from Grace Communion Church, and Regina Stilton from Splentique, on being newly elected to the board. Gavin Mitchell of Boyd & Hassell and Tammy Panther of Focus Newspaper have fulfilled their eligible time on the board and will be stepping down. Gavin and Tammy both served in leadership positions and have been vital to the success of HDDA and Downtown.

Being an HDDA Board Member means dedication, not only to the organization, but also to helping those around you in the Downtown community. HDDA strives to create a more vibrant Downtown full of economic opportunities for everyone and are lucky to have these committed individuals serving on our board.
