Oh the classic Camaros - the horror! I just had to make that comment specifically for the classic car-lovers who like to see comedies - it’s quite depressing.

With that said, the truth is, this comedy is a mish mash of many things, a muddle of comments and situations. But I still found the rambling very funny. Sam Jackson and Dwayne Johnson steal the show, that is for sure. The sheer absurdity to me was just plain entertaining - even though the story line wasn’t what I expected. I had a good time. What else can be said? - CLAM

There is a style of comedy known as “stupid funny.” Will Ferrell is its master and will allow it to attack and destroy any film genre.

In this case the classic “buddy cop” film takes the hit, dragging Mark Walberg along to play the extreme contrast to Ferrell’s silliness. Ferrell and Walberg’s characters idolize the city’s top cops (played humorously by Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson) and get their chance to step up to the plate when they’re assigned a seemingly insignificant case that turns out to be much more than expected. This movie is presented by the same guys that produced Talladega Nights and Step Brothers. So if you enjoy that sort of mindless crap then by all means enjoy this mindless piece of crap as well. - CHAINSAW

If you even think for a minute there is anyway in the burning depths of hell I would see this film, you are just dumb. Please, the forbidden street-dancing underground; hip-hop dancers in a high stakes showdown that will change their lives forever? Give me a break. The premise alone is enough to make any reasonable person slit their wrists.

However, the need to give you an unbiased opinion is important so viewers were questioned as they exited the theatre. The general consensus of this film (starring no one in particular) is that it is filled with great dance and musical sequences. Which are almost entertaining enough for you not to notice there really isn’t much of a plot. - CHAINSAW
