Hickory – The City of Hickory will close its offices on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day, but garbage and recycling pick-up will continue on Monday.
The City of Hickory offices will re-open on Tuesday, May 28, at 8:30 a.m.

Hickory Public Library
Hickory Public Library, the Patrick Beaver Memorial main facility and the Ridgeview Branch, will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27. The library will re-open at its regular hours on Tuesday, May 28.
Parks and Recreation Department
The administrative offices, skate park, Highland Recreation Center, Ridgeview Recreation Center, Westmont Senior Center, and Neill W. Clark, Jr. Recreation Center Main Building will be closed on Monday, May 27.
Neill W. Clark, Jr. Recreation Center Gymnasium, Brown Penn Recreation Center, and Westmont Recreation Center Gymnasium will be closed in observance of the holiday on Tuesday, May 28. All recreation centers are closed on Sundays.
Parks are open 365 days a year.
