Steve BarrHickory – Hickory Public Libraries are hosting cartoon workshops for children with artist Steve Barr as part of the 2017 Summer Learning Program, Build a Better World. Barr will conduct drawing workshops on Thursday, June 22, at Ridgeview Library at 4:00 pm and again at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library at 6:30 pm. These fun workshops are free and best suited for children ages 8 and up.

Bring your imagination and come learn how to draw with professional cartoonist Steve Barr. His simple, step-by-step technique allows everyone to unleash their inner artist and begin drawing imaginative cartoon creatures right away.

Paper and pencils will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring a favorite notebook and/or pencil, too.

Ridgeview Library is located at 706 1st Street SW, at the corner of 7th Avenue SW and 1st Street SW. The Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is located at 375 3rd Street NE on the SALT Block.
